After reading the materials for Week 1, you will learn about the history of management and the environment of management (culture, ethics, and social responsibility).  Listed below are topics I would like for each of you to discuss throughout the week.  Refer to the weekly materials, your textbook, and/or the GMC library when researching the topics for this Discussion Forum.  Put your writing into your own words, do not copy directly from the source.  If you incorporate scholarly/peer reviewed sources (http://gmcga.libguides.com/periodicals) in your posts be sure to cite (http://gmcga.libguides.com/c.php?g=458&p=1686) them properly.

In Week 1, you were introduced to PMBOK® and Project Management Institute.  For the discussion this week, go to their website https://www.pmi.org/business-solutions/case-studies and select one of their case studies to read.  

• Briefly describe the project in terms of aspects learned in Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 such as project scope, stakeholders, vision, strategic objectives, etc. You'll probably find those terms used in the case study.
• Discuss what you learned from reading the case study about project management - not the actual project itself, but details included in the case study about project management that stood out to you as important.
