The research must address the following:
Describe the major beliefs of that religion.
Identify major religious holidays in that religious tradition.
Discuss how the religious beliefs of the people practicing the religion you chose affect the health of the congregation.
Compare and contrast the religion chosen with the Judeo-Christian beliefs that are commonly followed in the USA. Include effects of beliefs, holidays, specific practices, and knowledge.
Discuss the effect of the religious practice you chose on the holistic health care of the individual.
Discuss the general importance of religion and spirituality to the members of that faith community in their health.
Discuss how your research has helped you understand the implications of that faith on the nursing care you might deliver to a person of that faith

Training nurses to take into account the religious upbringing of their patients is one way to overcome the fact that, even though nursing is a science focused on results, religious and personal beliefs differences can hinder its delivery. Patients refuse treatments and do not follow the nurses' plan because of conflicting religious differences that cause spiritual distress. Because some religions don't trust science, they won't let their followers take any medications. Patients and their families are more likely to adhere to their religious and nursing principles. A nurse must choose between disregarding a patient's spiritual beliefs and treating them accordingly. A nurse must uphold autonomy per nursing ethics. Respecting patients' wishes and beliefs, even when they disagree with you, is part of this. Nursing and spirituality frequently clash, which is likely to hinder the provision of high-quality care.
