We will read through Jeffrey Selingo's There is Lifer After College. every week in the semester. I will ask you a few questions about each chapter. These questions are for you to reflect, meditate, and respond honestly every Sunday. 300 words minimum.

How do you feel about controversies such as the Starbucks cup or Costco's Bible? Stetzer writes that "good thinking requires good diagnosis". Think about how do you see God at work at APU. Look at the chart on page 28. How do you explain it? What does it mean? What is the cultural divide? Do you see this in action in your life? How so? How have you experienced that cultural divide?

Class reflection 1

One of the biggest challenges you will face in the workplace is how to engage in conversations about difficult topics. This is especially true when you talk to people who think, feel, and experience life in a very different way from you. At APU, you have been sheltered in our comfortable "bubble," where apparently everyone shares the same worldview. However, once you start scratching under the surface, you will see a wide variety of worldviews in the classroom. 

Every week, you will find yourself immersed in different conversations in the classroom. We will cover a wide variety of topics. I understand that not everyone feels comfortable participating in the discussion right away. Some of you maybe you need more time to consider those topics. Others may even think that the majority do not share your opinion, and you should be quiet.
