For this lab assignment, you will create a procedure using Stellarium to determine: Are we alone? Since 1995, astronomers have discovered planets in orbit around other stars. The age old question has now reached a point at which it could possibly be able to point at a place and be asked. Astrophysicist Frank Drake along with the late, famed astrophysicist, Carl Sagan, devised a formula (The Drake-Sagan formula or the Drake formula for short) to calculate the chance of a communicating, intelligent civilization existing in our galaxy.
